Data Developer Hybrid | Tel Aviv District, Israel | Clalit Innovation About the job Clalit Innovation is leading the digital health and AI transformation within Israel’s largest healthcare organization. We are looking for a Data Developer to join our Data & AI-driven Healthcare team. The role combines Data Engineering and Data Analysis, with a strong focus on complex SQL development, large-scale medical data, cloud readiness, and reliable production data solutions. You will work closely with physicians and other professionals to translate clinical and business requirements into actionable insights, automated algorithms, and production-grade data processes that can impact millions of patients. The role will initially focus on the current data environment. Starting in 2027, the team plans to gradually introduce Google BigQuery and GCP as part of its cloud transformation, and the role is expected to include hands-on work with these technologies as the transition progresses. Responsibilities: • Translate clinical knowledge and business requirements into automated SQL-based algorithms and data solutions. • Develop, deploy, and maintain production-grade data code, datasets, ETL/ELT pipelines, transformations, and validation processes. • Integrate data from multiple systems and ensure consistency across different sources. • Analyze electronic medical record data and generate actionable insights to support clinical decision-making. • Develop back-end data solutions for the C-Pi application. • Investigate data issues, identify root causes, and implement reliable solutions. • Build automated tests and production processes using SQL, Python, R, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps Pipelines. Please note: this is not a full-stack or application software development role. It is a data-focused position combining Data Engineering and Data Analysis, with direct responsibility for production data solutions. Requirements: • Excellent SQL skills with 2+ years of hands-on experience working with large and complex datasets - a must. • Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and familiarity with the GCP data ecosystem - a must. • Strong experience with complex SQL queries, transformations, stored procedures, and data validation. • Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines and analytical data models, including incremental loads, dependency management, and large-scale data processing. • Ability to write reliable, maintainable, and production-ready code. • Experience with automated data-quality checks, Git-based version control, and CI/CD practices for production data code. • Comfortable coding in a scripting language, preferably Python. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively. • Organized, thorough, and detail-oriented. Advantages: • Experience with T-SQL, data pipelines, automation, and testing processes. • Experience working with healthcare data or other large-scale, complex data environments. • Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps Pipelines, or orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow. • BSc/BA or above in Industrial Engineering and Management, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field.
